The Poetry Room at Chax Press, 326 S Wilmot Rd in Tucson, is a special room within the East Hive Art Studios, adjacent to the 326 Gallery. In it you will find a changing selection of poetry anthologies, collections by individual authors, literary journals, and works of poetics. These are here for your reading pleasure and quiet contemplation.
In addition, you may schedule time in The Poetry Room for the following activities:
- One-on-one meetings about poetry and poetics.
- Editorial and Manuscript Consultations.
- Small group meetings.
- Small classes (up to six people).
- Poetry and Literature Tutorials.
- Purposes that you need and arrange with Chax Press.
- Quiet reading time.
You may also subscribe to the Poetry Room, allowing you various amounts of hours per month for which you may use the space for any of the purposes above.
Fees for the space will depend on how many people are using the space, and the amount of time needed. You may arrange such time by emailing us at chaxpress@chax.org, or by telephone at 520-275-4330. If we can not answer your call immediately, please leave a message and we will return your call.
Please note: On January 31, from 5pm until 8pm, The Poetry Room will have an official inauguration. Please join us there and give us your ideas about use of the space, while you also may have a piece of cake.
