Cynthia Miller, in Tucson, Arizona, is a frequent collaborator with Chax, most often allowing us to use her images or parts of images on book covers, occasionally participating in fine letterpress book arts projects, and acting as our Visual Arts Director. Educated at San Francisco Art Institute and the University of Arizona Master of Fine Arts Program, she has worked on such projects as Running Fence by Christo & Jeanne-Claude, and on The Roden Crater Project by James Turrell. She has also created an impressive body of work on paper and canvas, in various media, and has made several installation projects, over her years as a working artist. A founding member of the legendary Dinnerware Cooperative Arts Gallery in Tucson, she has taught for the University of Houston-Victoria Fine Arts Program and for the Tucson Museum of Art School, The Drawing Studio, Basis School, and independently. She has shown for the Eleanor Jeck Gallery, Etherton Art Gallery, Dinnerware, the Drawing Studio, Tucson International Airport, and for New York’s Cue Art Foundation.

She has recently augmented and re-launched a web site featuring her work, and at Chax we celebrate her and the new web site, to be found at
