Also Thursdays via ZOOM! You will receive the URL to connect after you register and pay for the Zoom sessions.

$125 requested contribution to Chax Press Inc. Payment to be made online. The payment will be considered a donation toward the mission of Chax Press Inc., part of which is to offer educational programs, including this class.

Meditation because we will have silent moments of meditation after and sometimes during periods of poems being read aloud, for contemplation.
Enhancement because the course is intended to enhance your engagement with the possibilities of writing poetry. In each class we will write for a period of time, and whether you write poetry, notes, commentary, or what-you-will, you are encouraged to share that writing in open discussion.
Discussions will include talk about the poems we feature each week, plus sharing & discussion of the work of course participants.

Featured poems will include Classical Chinese poetry, poems by Sappho, Percy Shelley, June Jordan, Adrienne Rich, Alice Notley, Haki Madhubuti, Paul Celan, and more. We encourage slow and long exposure to the poem, thus we will not discuss more than one or two poems per class session.
